Residents, staff and families of Shannondale of Maryville began Collecting UNOPENED cereal boxes to benefit the Community Food Connection, from Feb. 4th to Feb. 18th. In total we collected 227 boxes!
Resident Susan Eagleton wrote a catchy poem to get the word out to residents:
Cereal Tower Be it round, square or traditional flake, Our tower is for others sake. In the lobby you will find, A place for cereal boxes of any kind. The Community Food Connection distributes foods to those in need, The Needlework Club is helping indeed, Second Harvest provides a lot, But, often no cereal is in the pot. Last week at Shannondale of Maryville, we rolled out the caffeination station to help celebrate our fantastic team! We want to thank our employees, and appreciate all that they do. We also offered lunch from Salsaritas, hand massages, an ice cream social, and wrote letters to our future selves. ... See MoreSee Less
